I mentioned Wykowski's "Cairo" series in
a recent post, but figured I might as well give it it's own little showcase, just because I think these are some really stunning pictures. Wykowski's photographs, or at least a good many in this series, seem to be taken on-the-go; that is, you get the sense that you are truly sharing his vision as he walks about the streets of Cairo, caught in the midst of street vendors and strangers who grab his (and so our) attention. There is a definite sense of movement, of clamor, of
encounter in his photographs, that, together with their stunning contrast and texture, makes for some really wonderful images.
