These "photographs" from Berlin born artist, Nicolas Moulin, are just stunning in their grandeur and realism. Looking like the relics from an ancient, yet future, civilization, these digitally created sculpture-buildings are planted into vast, uninhabited (for the most part) landscapes. The reason for the above hyphenation is best described in the artist's own words: ‘
The city fascinates me as a way of living…a building is a utilarian sculpture, it’s a 3D image of mythology.’ With that in mind, here are pieces from his
Bergenobliqusalm series (note: the last image is from his
Blanklümdermilq series).
