These "paintings" (if we can stretch the word a bit), are produced by way of live fireworks. Fiore uses various techniques to produce different effects, from dragging the exploding fireworks across the canvass to setting them off inside of overturned metal tins. The result is this restrained chaos of explosions and geometry, all in beautiful color. Her other work has also experimented with new ways of applying color to canvas, including, it's true, waffle-irons.
