{ Adam Yekutieli }

Wow! These are fantastic. It's actually been a while since I've found something I'm as excited about as these. It took a little bit of digging to get behind all the artist's monikers ("Know Hope," "This is Limbo," and "Please Believe"), but eventually I found a really great article interviewing the man responsible for this body of work. Adam Yekutieli, a young artist working out of Tel Aviv, Israel, is the heart and hands behind these truly heart-felt/heart-breaking/heart-giving works, which are created on a variety of mediums, none any more permanent or substantial that pieces of cardboard. Sometimes his works are attached to walls with double-sided tape, sometimes they are dependent on the burning of a small candle within. I think it's that acceptance of vulnerability and ephemerality as expressed not only by his character, but by the very medium of his work, is what I find most beautiful in Yekutieli's work. I could go on, but I'll leave you to enjoy the work on your own, though I strongly encourage you to check out his Flickr site (linked below) and to read the article (linked above). But, that I should let the cadence linger, I'll leave you with these words by Yekutieli, commenting on the "political" nature and location of his art: "I think that to be meaningful, the political should relate to the everyday: Everyday life is the most subversive thing, because everybody can relate."
