{ James Dawe }

So besides sculptures, another medium that hasn't really featured prominently (or at all) on the blog has been collage, mostly because it isn't a medium that has particularly attracted me personally. But there is something about James Dawe's images that I really like, something about his compositions and choice of colors. I still have a hard time getting "meaning" out of them, in all honesty, but aesthetically, I think they're great. And it's that ability to create wonderful and engaging images (at least) that has gotten him recognized - and employed - by several magazines and even some big-timers like Nike and Coke. He's also done a great music video for The Macabees' song, "Toothpaste Kisses."
